Why walk when you can run? The New 9R Series Tractors are built to defy convention. With more engine horsepower (370 - 620 engine hp) and efficient FT4 engine technology, these machines welcome a good challenge. We've also added the new HydraCushion™ Suspension system on select models to help mitigate powerhop and road lope. Just when you think there isn't any room for more, we outfitted the 9R's with the new CommandView™ III cab. It delivers more space, comfort and convenience than before, with a few features you might not expect. A new and improved e18™ Transmission with Efficiency Manager also adds to the appeal by providing the smoothest shifting power shift in the market, with an additional automatic mode. Get ready run!

  • 76x50-32 flotation tire maintains overall tractor width to less than 3.7m (12 ft.). A multi-piece rim design allows attachment of each tire to two hubs.
  • All 9R Series Scraper Tractors, regardless of tire size, come equipped with an improved single-tapered hub design. The design increases durability for the rigorous applications of the 9R Scraper Tractor. The hubs also have 12 bolts for rim-to-hub attachment and a pilot ring for easier installation of dual wheels.
  • Increased Flexion (IF) and Very High Flexion (VF) tires allow operators to increase their load carrying capacity at reduced air pressures when compared to a traditional radial tire. This technology creates up to a 22 percent larger footprint compared to standard radials, which provides maximum ground contact helping to prevent soil compaction, improve total fluid economy, reduce wheel slip, and increase productivity.
  • A 200-amp alternator is standard on all models and is powered by an auxiliary drive from the transmission input shaft. An optional, high-capacity, 240-amp alternator provides more readily available power to the tractor and monitors.
  • Battery boost terminals are provided for convenience to assist with boosted starting. The terminals are also used as the connecting point to charge the tractor's batteries.
  • The 3-pin electrical outlet sockets and power outlets are provided near the cup holder near the right-hand side window.
  • The cab lighting pattern provides 330 degrees of coverage while the hood lighting provides the remaining 30 degrees, for completely programmable, 360-degree stadium-style lighting. This ensures there are no dead zones or lighting adjustments needed. Bulb housings are large, allowing for optimum total lumens and available light. The lighting configurations are available to match various applications and ensure maximum around-the-clock productivity.
  • The rotary beacon light is installed to meet requirements in commercial or governmental applications. The rotating, high-intensity light rests securely within an amber-colored safety lens. Both the light and lens are replaceable if damaged. The rotary beacon light features a fully adjustable, double-clamp design that provides a more rigid vertical support stem.
  • The 115-gpm (435 L/min) hydraulic system is designed to reduce scraper hydraulic cycle times, thus increasing the efficiency of the tractor/scraper combination.
  • The 9 Family Tractors feature controller area network (CAN) controlled electrohydraulic SCVs. The SCVs provide precise adjustability of hydraulic flow, enabling operators to fine-tune flow rates for any application. Each SCV has its own controller making field installing additional SCVs simple. All hydraulic settings are adjusted through the CommandCenter™ control panel.
  • The 9 Family Tractors feature FieldCruise for excellent control of working speeds below full engine load or full throttle position.
  • PowerTech PSS automatic filter cleaning process reduces NOx through the use of cooled exhaust gas recirculation, and for particulate matter, John Deere has integrated an exhaust filter.
  • PowerTech PSS cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) filter is integrated into the engine design and electronics to provide a seamless operator experience. The engine control unit (ECU) and exhaust temperature management (ETM) system work together to continuously regenerate the exhaust filter using a natural cleaning process sometimes referred to as passive regeneration.
  • PowerTech PSS 13.5L (824 cu. in.) engine meets the high expectations for fuel economy and performance that operators expect. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is an exhaust filter option that reduces NOx emissions.
